SafetyCore is committed to providing you with peace of mind when it comes to choosing flooring for your home. In terms of emissions, the materials we use in our manufacturing process outperform the safety guidelines established by the California Air Resources Board (CARB2), who sets the standards most manufacturers follow.
Additionally, the hardwood we use to construct our flooring, when combined with how we engineer our product, makes SafetyCore significantly more moisture resistant and 30% stronger than other traditionally-manufactured plywood core flooring.
This commitment to safety and quality allows you to fully focus on making a more beautiful home for your family. The proof of this commitment is in the results:
- Formaldehyde emissions from our products measure lower than 20 parts per billion—less than half of the CARB2 requirement of less than 50 parts per billion.
- No phenol formaldehyde or polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate are used in our manufacturing process.
- Our products are constructed with a specific poplar species for a consistent core density of 41.2 – 42.76 LB/FT3. That, when coupled with an advanced resin technology, produces a product significantly more resistant to moisture absorption with a 30% higher impact resistance than traditional plywood core flooring.
- Our flooring has earned a Janka Hardness Scale rating of 950 (similar in density to many species of hardwood) while other plywood-core products score in the 500-700 range.
